Quartz sand is a natural material that has a wide range of applications in the construction industry due to its many positive properties. The natural material is mined in quarries on the territory of water bodies and in river floodplains.
Before being sold, the mined quartz sand undergoes processing, including: cleaning from dirt and unnecessary impurities by washing; drying and separation into the required fractions by sifting; enrichment with various additives if necessary for special purposes; packaging in bags that are convenient for delivery and use.
ADVANTAGES
Quartz construction sand consists of small particles of silicon dioxide, called quartz. The bulk construction material is durable, inert and resistant to chemicals, and has low abrasion.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
Quartz sand in bags or in bulk is used for the following purposes:
for the construction of highly filled self-leveling floors up to 10 mm thick. Quartz sand acts as a filler and also provides a rough surface for floors to reduce slipperiness;
production of various building mixtures used for self-leveling floors, plaster, screeds and preparations, paints and varnishes, primers, etc.;
quartz sand for concrete;
in the glass industry, manufacturing of artificial stone products;
sandblasting of building structures before further finishing, processing of industrial metal products;
for filters that purify drinking water;
installation of coatings in the design of landscaping and landscape design, sports facilities, creation of artificial reservoirs.
CONSUMPTION
Consumption of dry fractional quartz sand 0.1-0.4 when installing epoxy self-leveling floor Monopol together with Monopol Epoxy 5M, depending on the thickness of the coating.
